Catch of the week

This page is updated weekly and has pictures of our recent guests and their fish. Give your friends the address to this page after your trip and you don't have to tell stories! Below you will find some pictures with our guests during the 2010 season.

What a year our guests are having - not only do we have a new season leader, we have an all time lodge record Chinook!!! After an epic 2 hour battle, Alex Bodnarchuk (left) landed this 71 POUND MONSTER CHINOOK on July 25th with the help of guide Mitch.

Sibling rivalry? The day after his brother Al landed a 56 pounder, David Taylor went out and nailed a 58 pound Chinook to take over the season lead. You know you have a big fish when you have to sit down to hold it.

We have a new season leader!! Al Taylor (left) and guide Matt pose with this 56 pound MONSTER Chinook taken on July 14th at Hidden Island. Way to go Al - the fish of a lifetime.

Jerry Nieusterweeg had the distinction of being onboard when Alex Bodnarchuk landed his lodge record 71 pounder. Jerry got into the action with this beefy 39 pounder landed on the same day.

The parade of big fish continues!  Ed Davis shows off his 49 pound whopper taken on July 22nd.

Jeff Duncan and a slab 43.5 pound Chinook taken on July 20th.

We call him "Captain 29". Reece Cobbe keeps trying but continues to come up just short on his Tyee bid due to the honest scale at Naden Lodge - three 29 pounders in two years. We thought he deserved a spot on the website for coming back every year to try again.

15 year old Emma Cobbe found a new formula for catching a Tyee class salmon. Sleep in to 9:30, wander down to the dock at 10:00 a.m. and land a 37 pounder at 11:00.

Randy Carr and a stout 36 pounder

Not a bad day for Darren Lee (left) and guide Mitch. Darren bagged a 32 and a 30.5 pounder on one tide.

What does a Naden Lodge guide do on his days off? Grab some women and land a 49 pound monster Chinook!

Novice salmon fisherman? No problem says Bob Browning shown here with his 30.5 pound Tyee.

Halibut fishing has been good with steady action and improving size. Dale Russel shows off his 58 pounder.

A cigar, rum and a Tyee - does life get any better than this? Jim Moore toasts his 33 pounder.

Boatmates Mark Taliaferro and Theodore Jones show off twin 36 pounders.

Does this guy look happy? Dave Heneghan show off his 35.5 pounder landed on June 27th.

Bill Dorgan again? The big guy cleans-up and makes it three Tyees in two years qualifying him for a place in the Naden Lodge Hall of Fame.

Big Bill Dorgan becomes the second Naden Lodge guest this season to repeat in the Tyee department. Bill followed-up last years 39.5 pounder with this beefy 36. You can see why so many of our guests are returning customers!

Mike Burnyeat poses with his 32 pound Chinook caught on June 24th

The first day of summer saw a new leader in the salmon of the year battle. George Wadsworth shows off his 39.5 pound whopper. Fishing continues to be good for Chinooks and the arrival of Coho in numbers is making the action even hotter.

All these happy smiles are why we get out of bed in the morning at Naden Lodge. Grahame Eisenhauer (immediate left of the fish) and his fishing lodge brothers celebrate a 33 pounder.

John and Wayne Smyl pose with their 31 pound Tyee landed on the first day of their first ever salmon fishing trip. Not bad for a couple of rookies!

Dwayne Patchett (left) makes it two years in a row with a Tyee. Dwayne and Guide Tim followed-up his 34 pounder in 2009 with a 31.5 pound hog in 2010. You can see why we have so many returning customers at Naden Lodge!

Trip #6 ended with a bang today (June 13th) as Darcy Lamb (left) and Jim Sutherland landed a couple of Tyees. Darcy's 31.5 pounder squeeked out a win over Jim's 31.

A great start to trip #6 today (June 11th) as Marlin Polowick hooked into this 33 pound beauty within 5 minutes of getting his line in the water!!

The Rose and McLean duo were at it again today (June 9th), this time with Pete Rose (left) landing a chunky 34 pounder. We have our first big first story of the year as this pair also lost a 50+ pounder at the side of the boat. The story is "guide verified" but I guess we will never know for sure - it's always the big one that get away!!

Rob McLean (right) landed this 31 pounder with the help of boatmate Pete Rose on June 8th.

We have our first multiple tyee slayer of the season. Danny and Marie Grover from Alabama enjoyed outstanding fishing along with the rest of our guests on trip 4 in early June. Danny is shown above with a bullet 33 pounder and with wife Marie with a nearly as impressive 32. I guess they do know how to fish in the south!

Howard Claybourne shows off an impressive 33.5 pound tyee.

Derric Richardson poses with his 30.5 pound trophy taken at Klashwan Point on the west side of Naden Harbor. Early season fishing continues to be stellar.

Jim Applegate didn't quite make the tyee club with this 29.5 pound Chinook. Sorry Jim, we keep an honest scale at Naden Lodge!

Early season fishing continues to be hot with Bob Aloneissi establishing an early season lead with a 38.5 pound torpedo.

Ken Bills with a beautiful 34 pounder that he released on Trip #1. Nothing like double header Tyees (see Bob Rice below) to start the season off right!

Bob Rice is showing some love to his first ever Tyee - a chunky 31 pounder. Like many of our guests Bob chose to release this trophy fish.

The Clarkson Clan poses with a stout 34 pounder landed during a pre-season family excursion to Naden Lodge during the May long weekend.
